Mot

A cheap MOT is a false economy as the garage has to look for other ways of making the discount back, also good garages dont discount, they dont have to.

No problem, got mine booked in for Wednesday, so will see if they try to rip me off for anything.

yeah, although we use them for work, so they might recognise me. Taken the van in a couple of times.

I like there mot guarantee. £49 a shame my car isn't serviced. Parts and labour upto £650

Needs to be under 12years old, under120,000miles and serviced according to manufacture.

Not bad if you have a car, you know has a problem and is serviced.

Doh online says they have no spaces until he 8th.. expires on teh 9th. But usually like a few days encase I need to get some parts from a crappy.
Actually saying that I don't need the car next week.

Had an MOT done last week at the VW main dealer at half price. Got it back in a few hours having passed with no advisories and they'd even washed/waxed it.

Which is where VOSA come in - as a few too many strikes and the garage gets some problems from them - there is no benefit for the garage to fail the MOT for no reason

This is not true ime, i always get cheap mot's done and have never had a failure which wasnt correct.

can anyone name some national centres that do tyres other than kwik-fit and valuetyres

I hate to say it but if you're looking super cheap is there anyone that sells part worns near by?

etyres might be worth a go too.

185/65 R14?

I got 4x maxxis jobbies for £78 trade price but dont think they were much more regular price. They grip suprisingly well considering, better than the pirrelis that were on before. Also after 6k miles they still look new.
