Killing Floor - coming to Steam

Just watched the trailer & looks great, convinced me to preorder from steam

Looks good. I enjoyed playing red orchestra, and the unlocks/character development is a nice touch. For 11 quid this must be worth a punt!

I'm really hoping that this has more community development, it seems more scary than L4D.

L4D got boring after a week due to an extreme lack of levels.

From what I have read, KF will have the SDK released at the same time, so we should see custom content quickly.

I have pre-ordered anyway, I would like to offer Killing floor OCUK server 2 if the servers aint pricey.

Dont know much about purchasing dedicated servers so I may be speaking rubbish here but... supposedly the network strain/bandwidth required for servers is pretty small compared to most other MP games, so I guess purchasing a server should be fairly cheapish.

The box already has the L4D OcUK servers running, not sure how much more it can handle, hence why I dropped the TF2 server :/

Assuming its the same load as KillingFloor 2.5, I think it should be okay for two servers without impacting all the other stuff we have on there.

Looks like its based on the same engine as doom 3.

Doom3 uses id's Tech4 engine, this uses the UE2

i didn't give this game a real chance due to l4d but hearing the history of it being a mod and all your views ill definately give it a go now
