Fancied heading out for the whole day tomorrow, being a bank holiday - we were thinking something along the lines of near the/a coast, something with a fair bit of scenery and places to walk to/see. I'm looking a the forecast for tomorrow though and it's far from promising......though, it might change!

Anyway, a day trip to somewhere in Scotland. We'll be heading there by car so anywhere that's relatively lovely in terms of scenery etc yet a relatively easy journey.

Thanks. :)

Oh, no oxo tower comments please. :D

I don't see you actually asking anything there - Are you telling us you're going out or are you asking for suggestions?

Sounds like a desperate man looking for a bank holiday with his family.

Good luck to him - I can't offer any good suggestions other than

Be a good dad.

Sorry.

Sorry.

I keep shaving bits off my replies like I'll hone them down to something meaningful.

I'm left with 'Be a good Dad'.

That's awful.

But true.

Be a good Dad.

The drive up to Fort William is nice, and could then head over to Loch Ness. Might be a little far for a single day, Fort William should be doable tho.

I feel your pain. :(

A colleague recommended this today actually but I agree, I think it's pushing it slightly. Thanks anyway though. :)
Loch Lomond should be nice.
Good suggestion and close enough too. Is there anywhere in particular around Loch Lommond? :)

If you don't mind a small climb then I suggest Ben A'an in the Trossachs. The view from the top is amazing and it only takes about an hour to the top. After coming down head into Callander for some lunch/dinner. ;)

I'll be heading up by Killin tomorrow, would prefer to stay at home with the current forecast though.

Aye, it's not looking good so we might opt for something a little closer to home but I like the Loch Lomond idea. Never been though so I've no idea where we'd park up, eat, visit and things....
