Virgin Media Adsl Users. Lower Your Pings In games *ROUTERS*

Here is a tip for those with high pings.
worked for me useing virgin media adsl with Router.

Change the setting in your router from 1500 MTU to 1400 MTU optimized.
the lowest i could go was 1390 MTU and my pings went from

200-300 to 45-60ms
I was also getting 40ms in CSS Source.

Give it a try, im sure it will lower yours aswell as it did for me.

Be carefull not to go UBER LOW though as it will start to affect your max download speeds.

Stock ping is way to high to start with im with nildram adsl and i get 16 odd on uk severs playing battlefield 2142.

Im on Orange Broadband and was having all sorts of troubles with ping and packet loss.

Dont really know but Im guessing it should be on the WAN/Connection settings.
