I really want one when I finally have enough money for my build in a couple of months or so, but would anyone who already has one, recommend one?

>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbPAgirT1hM&feature=related <<<

This guy puts some nice points for one, and some bitchy comments against it.
Im all for cable management and id like a nice window, but would fortress owners out there recommend flashing the cash to get one?

What do you like about them and are there any naggly little things about it that you dont like/wish there were?

Is that my video response i see on his video?:D

Its a great case. the only thing i would consider as a bad point is the fan filter on the top fan, its stupid and hard to egt out, they should have made it side out the side as they did with the front one.

other than that, honestly, i have nothing else bad to say about it.

you mean its a bad thing when it comes to cleaning it out? or is it actually a nuisance to be there?

its just a pain when it comes to cleaning it thats all.

like a few other members who have this case, i find it easier to just hoover the dust out from the tob rather than revome the filter to clean it.

ohhhh right i thought the guy in the video was describing it as unnecessary or something cheers for clearing that up :p whats it like sound wise with all the fans etc with the acoustic foam interior?

excellent case and you will appreciate its build quality. very nice looking as well.

i would say that if you plan to have many hard drives inside the case then get some more CP05 sata hotswap things. ive got 6 in mine but a downside to that is they have both male and female connectors on them which means they will bundle up into a sizable bunch if you dont cable tidy correctly

I think id just start with the one 1TB drive for now, are the extra HDD cages removable to improve airflow and replaceable whenever you wish?

Yeah i think the hdd cages are in a couple different pieces. One holds 3 the other 4. There is always the 5.25 bays too. Im liking this case more and more and ill probs get one when i get my finances sorted as there doesn't seem to be much negative feedback

build quality is amazing tbh. well worth the money and you wont be disapointed.
check the build logs on this thing.

mines in my sig and i'll also be adding a second card this week so will update pictures too

Its the build logs that make me want one! Im pretty happy with my LC17 as i had the urge for a sff pc but those build logs look damn sweet. I just fancy something new to play with!

well if you can afford one then get one. £137 for me WAS a lot of money until i saw the build quality.

when i was spending a decent amount on i7 i wanted to have something with quality on the outside and the fortress has this in bucket loads

Your build really makes me want one ¬_¬ especially with those cooler fans they look fantastic.

As for the fan controller, i take it its a nice convinience to have there? are they any good?

in my opinion yes. it's very good. ideal for everyday PC (internet etc) you can turn some of the fans down low for silent running or when gaming turn them up and it's still almost silent.
saves having all your fans running 100% all the time.

when browsing (like now) i only have the exhaust and cpu cooler fans on full.

id probably invest in one at a later date because its a pain manually configuring them in speedfan when im doing different things.

how much space do they take up in the fortress? equal to one drive bay? are they hard to install? ive never seen one up close before so i dont know how they attach to all the fans etc.

At the minute the fortress looks very favourible

when i ordered mine i was unsure how they work etc but Diggsy sorted that out by telling me what they're like.

They use one drive bay and have extention leads for each fan you connect up. Currently i have 5.
they include: 180mm top fan, 180mm front fan, exhaust fan, pull fan on my TRUE and my Kama bay fan.

fitting take 5 mins tops.

So all the fan pin connectors go into the controller rather than the board, and the fan controller to the PSU?

Sounds like it could be a good investment along with the case

The buuild quality of the Fortress is great. Just feels like a stylish case. I can't comment much further than that as I havent actually put anything inside it yet. Just waiting for pay day so I can buy a i7 and will be starting my build then. Going to be my first build so fingers crossed.

On the note above what fans would you suggest plugging into a Fan controller. I have a scyth Kaze Master so room for 4 fans. I then have a choice of the Front 180mm, Top 180mm, Exhaust, Kama Bay, and Push/Pull fans on a TRUE. Which fans would you suggest connecting to the controller?
