What is the situation as regards the yellow oilseed rape flowers.

For years I have put this crop down as being responsible for some nasty problems I get at this time of year.

Are the fields about to flower, flowering, past their best, finished flowering.

Silly question I know, but I don't get out much anymore :)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks all. At least they will start to die down soon.

PS I was once driving south down a motorway towards London (M10? M11?). Fields of rape for mile after mile all around me. The smell of the stuff clogging my nostrils for mile after mile. I suddenly went all dizzy and weak and had to pull over for a few minutes. Apparently, apart from pollen, this stuff gives off a mixture of volatile gases which are often what upset people who live right next to fields of the stuff. It even badly affects people's pets like cats and dogs.

But don't worry, the farmers say it's a harmless crop and it's pollen doesn't affect anyone :)

Rape is related to broccoli etc which is why it smells rank when the flowers are nearly finished. It is such a disgusting smell, almost synthetic and plastic and affects so many people.
