Problem is the ref was completely blind to Fletchers tackle, all he saw was a connection and a gunners player hit the deck. He could barely see the ball so didn't see Fletchers connection.

As for Arsenal, 2 individual errors and general gutlessness - they are a million miles away from being anywhere near as good as Man United.

I just hope this performance opens Wenger's eyes and shows him that there are many players in this squad simply not good enough.

nothing to do with tactics, we've just been played off the same park we schooled them on just a few mths ago.

for whatever reason utd were up for it and we weren't - in both legs.

Because that means it wasn't a penalty. He got the ball first, like you said.

This game has shown something though, we have no fighting spirit at all. All this rubbish about Character and spirit, the way our heads dropped after the 2nd goal was shocking! As much as I hate to say it, it's games like this that we need a Gerrard type of player to drag us back into it.
