Whats the justification for not allowing appeals in Europe? If its a mistake (like this one was) it should be allowed to be appealed to a panal, a referee should not have final say for a mans dream in a decision he has to make in a split second. Don't know why we have cameras sometimes, UEFA are really anti-technology to extremes sometimes.

I think it's something to do with UEFA wanting the same rules and regulations for CL games as they have for Sunday League football. That's why they are against goal line technology.

He's gave every soft decision, fell for a lot of simulation, been very generous to Man United in the first half and tried to compensate with the penalty/sending off in favour of Arsenal. Quite a bad game if you ask me.

I very much doubt Fletcher would have started against Barca, but would've been on the bench.

Feel so sorry for him - dreadful decision.

i'd like to hope that they will see sense and see that it should clearly not have been even a free kick and revoke it, i really do feel sorry for Fletcher, that ref has robbed him of his dream of playing in the european cup final and there's nothing he can do about it.
