Only fair way I can quickly think of is a third match with the subsequent ET and penalties. Also in each normal match I guess ET and penalties is now ignored (or is it just penalties?)...

Regards the 4 star team approach - best to allow duplications of teams as it kills off competition if people are playing teams they dont want to...

Fair points. Ok, to sum up, we shall have two matches for the Second Round and the Third Round. No Extra Time and No Penalties at the end of either Leg. If scores are all tied after two Legs then a Third Match is played. Sorted? :p

Ok, OP has been updated and hopefully there will not be any misunderstandings. For those who can't be arsed clicking the first page! :p :

**Rule Change For 2nd & 3rd Round**:

1. Two Matches must be played
2. No Extra Time and No Penalties at the end of either Leg.
3. Away goals do not count. The most goals over 2 matches wins.
4. If the aggregate score is tied after Two Matches then a Third and Final Match is played to decide who goes through. Original rules as played in the First Round (i.e. Extra Time and Penalties if all tied at the end of the end of Normal Time) apply for the Third and Final Match of the Round (Should this happen to any of you! :p).

Actually, I just remembered the Arsenal vs Manchester United Champions League Semi-Final is on! - I'm an Arsenal fan! :p Can we play at 10.30pm instead?

Yup. Rule change only applies to Second and Third Round. I'll be doing it differently for the second Tournament / Cup though! Sorry that you ended up going out in the first round. The reason why I left it kinda short and sweet this time was because I wasn't sure how many players we would get, wanted it to be relatively quick and problem free (:p) and didn't want it to drag on for too long. The second one will be better but let us get this one out of the way first of all! :)

No probs mate i was gonna say, the CL semis are on theres no way im playing fifa at that time lol! I just got back from work, a hell-ish bank holiday 13 hour shift and im dead knackered, was hoping to get some practice in beforehand but running out of time!

so tomorrow after the footy it shall be! :)

Good game dude. Your keeper let you down twice, both in remarkable fashion. Was a fair bit of lag in the game but it was just manageable. Thought you had won it just before full time with your header from the corner but, phew, what a game! GG! :)

confirmed yes some calamitous stuff at the back gifted you a couple of goals! thought i had won it at the end but my keeper really let me down :( well played m8 your class shone through. im finding it very laggy on the ps3, im finding it pretty unplayable at the moment...it generally is a lot more fluid on the 360 and on live a million miles ahead unfortunately

You see, because my ps3 broke the other day I have not had a chance to put my friends ps3 in my routers DMZ so it might not have ran as smoothly as it would have done had it been played on my own console. Having said that, I had 3 friends round the other night and we were all playing in an online game (at the same time) against loads of players. Like a 5 hour online 3-player session, and there was nowhere near as much lag as what we just had. I hate to ask, but have you looked into putting your ps3 into your router's DMZ?
 
it already is in its DMZ and i dont get lag like that in any other ps3 game or 360 game. it always seems my ps3 is accessing the disk while playing-always making that noise its reading the disk....does that happen to anyone else ? seems like that may be causing it, but its a chore to playmost of the time. i wish there was a hdd install option
