Currently running a 4350 into my Onkyo 876 but fancy some FPS action as I just can't play FPS games with the controller on my PS3:(

Now I want nice perfromance but also the abilty to output Audio over HDMI for DVD playback.

4770 ok for this?

Is it hot? Noisey?

Been out the loop with GFX hardware for a few months.

Just buy one a dvi-hdmi then. I have a 4770 and a dvi-hdmi cable that I bought for the 4850 and it works fine.

the dongle and hdmi cable do stick out quite a way when its all plugged in together.

Isn't there a model that has the HDMI slot on the GFX?

My rack is very close to the wall and there is not a lot of gap behind my HTPC.

I think you have to use the dongle that comes with the card if you want the audio over HDMI feature.

No one seems to make a graphics card with a HDMI socket that is any good for gaming.
