DVD Decoder?

Just put a music dvd into my pc to watch but i get a message saying 'cannot play blah blah blah im a spaz i dont have a dvd decoder to play this video'

i was aware that id wiped all my codecs and things when i reinstalled windows, but i thought this stuff came when you download the latest media player.

tried the MS site but cant get anything, anyone know where i can get these things or a decent free dvd playing program?

Google for K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Get the Mega, Full version.

When it installs, instal the 'lots of stuff' option.

Then it will work. Well, worked for me last time I had that problem!

Use VLC player or DivX player.

Thank you peoples, once again this forum delivers.
I also love how many people are up at this hour staring at their screens. Ive got to be up at 9 but i reaaaaaally want to watch atleast a few songs ffs

install anydvd
install media player classic
install ffdshow

VLC player was fine but DivX player wasnt working at all.
would still be nice to have the latest media player play my stuff though
