Ricky 'Hitman' Hatton vs Manny 'Pacman' Pacquaio

Watched the fight again and its just as bad and everybody is talking about, even burnt the fight to a dvd and showed my dad.

How can you come out of RETIREMENT, either you are retired or your not?

Just adds a few more zeros to the cheque.

We all want to see Mayweather vs Pacman.

I've just watched it again in HD 720p, it really is that bad.

Let's just say he continues to fight... (VERY unlikely) whats next for him? A fight over here in britain with Witter? Amir Khan lol? Something for the british fans? :p

Dont think he will be travelling to the us again for a fight, Letting the british fans down twice lol. I think he should retire :D

Yeah, is is still good but cant compete with the billing Sin City offers, he could have a few more years fighting in the UK unless its all about money. Up to him but he is not world class.

When I asked the concierge if there were asny tickets he went on his ticket broker site and the most expensive at the time was touching $10k. He said earlier there were some up for $22k but they had obviously been bought!

Because he said when he 'retired' that he was taking a few years out of the sport and that's exactly what he has done. It was never a permanent retirement, more just a break :p

Mayweather was only retired until the money was right to comeback :p He could see there was a mega fight against Pacman or rematch V Hatton in the offing depending on who won.

Announcing your comeback on the day of the Hatton/Pacman fight wasn't a coincidence he was putting himself back in peoples thoughts.

Personally think he will have the measure of Pacman, Manny hasn't fought anyone of his calibre at this weight, beating De La Hoya who was a statue and Hatton who just came in head first asking for a hiding is a different proposition to fighting a proper boxer who won't be weight drained and over the hill.

You guys have no idea how glad I am to not pay £16 for pay per view to watch this match !! I mean c'mon !!! For a 3-4min fight? wat!?!?? £16 for that? ;p

I just knew Pacman was going to win, just didn't expect him to win it that quickly.

We split the cost 5 ways so worked out at £3 each which wasn't too bad for a night in with a few beers ..didn't realise we'd have to stay up so long though :p

Pacman vs Mayweather will be a great fight :)

£16 for a 5 minute fight? Stop your bitching, try the £60 a minute i paid at the MGM Grand

Jesus, kinda puts it into perspective.

Manny v Floyd, now this could go 2 ways in my opinion, either an explosive mega fight reminiscent of the Duran, Hagler, SRL and Hearns era or a long and drawn out affair that could go all the way with manny becoming frustrated at Floyd's defensive capabilities.

I will probably go for the latter with Floyd winning on points.

THe reason Roach preaches it is two fold, it works and Manny does it great. But he's so fast its not a offensive move for him, but a counter punch.

I still find it truly hilarious that hatton throws his slowest most open punch against someone simply miles faster. its a left haymaker, that he starts to throw, Manny reacts, throws a punch and still dodges that slow ass punch.

Whats even funnier is the opposite video's of Roach training Manny have Roach showing a video of Hatton doing his incredibly slow left overhead punch like that, and them laughing at how slow it is and practicing to counter it perfectly. Two boxers watched the vid's, one took it seriously and one trained properly, it wasn't Hatton. But there in lies the reason why almost every greatest fighter ever, is a counter puncher and why Hatton failed so miserably. Manny was throwing his hook and roll as a counter while Hatton had already commited himself to a punch. If he WAITED for Manny to throw the right, he could then counter it and throw a left hook to the rolling Manny. But thats the problem, he's offensive, a brawler who can't counter at all. Even worse he telegraphs his big punches so badly that Manny has what feels like years to throw that KO punch. You can watch all the video in the world, learn everyone of their moves, but if you don't wait for them to counter, and commit yourself and leave yourself wide open, it makes no difference.

I can't wait for mayweather vs marquez, and the winner vs Manny, two almost historic fights.

Only fight I might want to see almost as much is maybe Froch vs Hopkins, or Froch vs Calzaghe.
