I fail to see how any Referee can be *that* bad, even Sunday league referee's would get at least one right, for a start, giving one foul in the box with a direct view as a free-kick out the box was bizarre, and I wasn't too convinced by the second, but the third and fourth claims are as obvious as you're ever likely to see.

If that isn't a fix by UEFA then I don't know what is. There is no way Man Utd will win the CL this year because that can clearly happen again.

Also, was Iniesta booked for his celebration? (yes he was).

I'm sure he really takes it too heart when he's in a team that will be finishing higher than arsenal and are in an F.A Cup final.

4 consecutive years without anything? I'm glad you enjoy booing cole cause you can't be enjoying much else.

oh well least our team wont be past it next season like chelski, they could barely keep up come 80mins tonight

lol i always knew ballack was a bit of a psycho :p As a Utd fan I do have to feel a little bit for chelsea, the ref's decisions were truly disgusting although i'm not shouting conspiracy just yet.

If Chelsea were dead on their feet by 80 minutes, what were Barca?! Chelsea were much the fitter team there.
As for all these 'old' players they mentioned, the only ones that I could think of that were close to being old are Lampard, Drogba and Ballack, at 30 years old, 31 and 32 years old respectively.

I just don't see it?

he was a somebody at arsenal, at chelsea he's just another mercenary in a declining team bankrolled by a gangster.

just a little punk with a bit of money and a wife WAY above his station, **** knows why she settled for that.

I don't understand the conspiracy claims when he gave a ridiculous red card to a man 2 yards away from the guy falling over?

Because you have so much more to offer? I don't blame you for being jealous of his bird, I think we all are.

People have criticized Cole at Chelsea, yes he had an average first season but last season and this season he had been exceptional.

Its a disgrace that the performance of the referee is now the priority and highlight of any football game.

Football is still adamant to stay away from using very easy and useful technology to help referees do their job for absolutely dire reasons.

Last night's red card sending off of Fletcher that stops him from playing in the most important game of the season for him, and probably the reason he was running around the pitch like a dog all game chasing balls up, is an absolute disgrace. An injustice that cannot be fixed even if the referee later states that he made a mistake, because of dire old fashioned rules that should be abolished in this day and age.

Tonight Chelsea deserved a number of penalties and again the red card was simply too harsh on barcelona.

All this because the fools dont want to use video technology to help out officials in a game that is increasing in speed and skill.

Look at the other sports, I'll put my neck out here and say that all of them now use technology to make it easier for people to just play the game knowing that its unlikely they will be done by some spastic who needs to go to spec savers. Look at rugby, cricket, tennis, even snooker these days use video technology to respot balls (in the past the referee had to just do the best he could).

When will those in charge realise that their sport is not above all these other ones and come back down to earth, and realise that the introduction of another official who can watch replays etc from video is going to do the game wonders.

There would be no need to overturn decisions if the decisions are correct in the first place. Make it unlikely for there to be a mistake by using hard video evidence to back decisions up.

I mean seriously, its a joke that even when the ball crosses the line but is then cleared, if the linesman doesnt see it, and the ref doesnt see it, then in the current state of football, its not a goal! Theres just no excuse for that to be happening now.

I want to watch a football game of tonight's calibre without having to hear rants and rants and watch video replays on why the referee is wrong!
