Ref was terrible and should never ref in a major game again! chelsea deserve to be going to Rome, they were the better team over the 2 legs, regardless of style of play. hope man utd stuff them in the final! hope Everton stuff chelsea in the FA cup ;-)

Couldn't help it :/

Interesting one that.

Only saw the first half as from what i'd seen, I assumed Chelsea had it sewn up and went out shopping for a bit.

Then I find that Barca are in the final, Drogba and Ballack are trying hard to get themselves a nice long ban and everyone's complaining about the ref.

I'll hold judgement for now as i've not seen any of it but I think Chelsea were unlucky given what I did see. They certainly played well.

I don't want them in the final though, I expect it'd be a repeat of last year with them sitting there and hoping for penalties or a soft decision. :(

And Gustov mate, you need to log off and go calm down. You're just calling anyone who doesn't share your opinion a troll, and it's doing you no favours.

As a United fan, i'd always value the Premiership over all as it's what is worked towards over 38 games of the season.

Then the Champions League, then FA Cup, then Carling Cup.

I'm not so keen on the FA/Carling Cup as it's too easy for lesser teams to just "park the bus" and fluke a result/win on penalties. It's not really a good indicator of a good team. The Champions League suffers from this less as there's a group stage of six games and then two-legged ties to the final, so this tactic doesn't work as well unless you have a waterproof defence.

For me the Champions League is too geared for making money, there's simply too many games, plus a ton of teams in it that don't deserve to be.
The FA Cup is steeped in history and tradition, it's hardly changed at all over the years.
It's got to the point where I'm not going to bother with CL games next season, although I might do the lesser teams in the group stages for the loyalty points.

Anyone who doesn't regard the premiership as the most important competition isn't worth talking to about football imo.

I called one person a troll and i stand by it, his comments are ludicrous.

I'm calm ;) Just gutted :(

100% agree there. It's not a Champions League when the top four get in! It's also meant that there's been less interest in both the UEFA and Cup Winners Cups, and has led to the loss of the latter.

I'd rather see top in Champs League, second goes into qualifying. Third and fourth into UEFA. FA and League Cup winners into CWC.

Again agreed.

I can see that, but be gutted, not bitter! :)

WTF was that, best team in Spain, totally outplayed in both legs, I cant see them beating United in the final, ref was a disgrace to football.

I hope United beat them for the pathetic excuse they call football

PMSL hey Cheets stick to supporting Wigan as you clearly havent a clue what your talking about.

Unless you've been hiding under a rock since the weekend...did you not see or hear about the absolute massacre that Barca inflicted on Real Madrid....6-2 fella and that was against a team that was only a few pts behind them. So they fully deserved their tag of Spains best team unless your going to sit there and tell me that Mallorca is spains best team:p.

Outplayed over the 2 legs...**** me your a bit delusional arent you??..they werent out-played...first leg Chelski played stupid negative football that much was clear to see and tonight yeh Chelski got unlucky as they didnt a get a few calls for penalties go their way...**** happens and thats football for you. I will say the ref was a disgrace though...hope hes not in charge of the final. But outplayed over 2 legs...hahaha if that was the case then why didnt poor Chelski get that all important away goal eh??. They couldnt because they played like a bunch of negative inbreds. Ill give them credit for tonight as they did play some great football but Barca i thought were much better on the night.

Personally i hope they give Utd a good beating in the final on the 27th...nothing would please me more than to see Utd get their backsides handed to them..6-2 scoreline would do me very nicely:p:D

gutted if u were a Chelsea fan today.

First the 'phantom' goal by Garcia and now the phantom pens. If I was Abramovic I would just buy Man United.

At least they have a red kit and a Scouser playing for them,.

Havent read any of this for a good few pages...

But what a terrible game, I wanted Barcelona to win, but what a horrible way for Chelsea to lose, 0-0 1-1 is a nasty way of going out.

There were a couple of really hideous decisions from the officials tonight..

One horrible one that led to Barcelona having a man sent off and one horrible decision that should have had Chelsea a penalty.

I'm not sure you can say anyone was better or worse, it just turned into a bit of a farce and a ridiculous way to end a semi final. But thats football.

After wanting Barcelona to win the competition, im not so sure anymore, on footballing terms i think Man Utd are better than them at the minute.. where was the best player in the world tonight? Messi? was he playing... Ronaldo has come up with the goods recently in the champions league.

I just hope the final is a good game and not turned into a circus.

Having two banks of four behind the ball and then counter attacking isn't negative? What would be negative then? Putting the ball out for throw ins when they got it?

Chelsea were not negative at all, they played counter attacks, flooded men forward and ran Barcelona ragged, the same could not be said in return. Chelsea really stretched Barca, Barcelona did nothing to worry Chelsea.
