Those pesky bees get everywhere. Joe Cole was attacked by them in last years final. ;)

What makes me laugh is all the Chelsea fans saying they should have had 4 penalties. They should have had 1, in the first half, and that's it.

1) was a penalty but the ref bottled it and gave a free kick

2) Drogba just fell over when he had lost possession

3) The two players were right next to each other so he couldn't help that. You might say that he shouldn't have his arms up but you can't expect player to go running about with their hands by their sides!

4) He was facing his own goal and most of the ball hit his back anyway.

Gutted:(
We should've put the game away with the chances we had and only us are to blame for missing them.
The officials in both SF's made simple mistakes that shouldn't be happening at that level.
Fletcher, Alves and Abidal will all miss one of the biggest games of their career due to poor decisions and no matter which way you look at it Chelsea should've had at least one penalty and on another night no-one would've complained if they had 2 or 3.
Drogba and Ballack were out of order and they should both get CL suspensions, so should the officials.
Man.U. shouldn't have too may problems now with Alves, Abidal & Marquez out and even if Barca were at full strength from what I've seen this season Man.U. are far superior.

Agree with that :)

I don't know who Paul Doyle is but he certainly wasn't watching the game, Drogba was taken off as he was injured. If you agree with him I can only assume you weren't watching either.

What makes me laugh is people saying all of them are.
Pique handball = definitely.
If it was a foul on Malouda then it was a pen.

Argue about the rest all you like.

I feel for chelsea this morning totally robbed. Love the people that just couldn't help themselves to come in for troll.

Perhaps now people will stop emptying their nuts over barca and Messi, just about anytime I've seen them play particularly Premier league oppostion they have been poor.

I would much rather play them that a german team.

I hope Manu stuff them but somehow I think it's going to be made sure an english club doesn't win it again.

Drogba's penalty claim is the shocking one for me, hes more then strong enough to keep upright and get his shot away but chooses to go down (as he always does, anywhere on the pitch) and his reputation cost his team.

-edit-
If there can be one benefit taken from this CL Semi over both legs, its that the quality of ref's in all of europe, from england to italy and all inbetween, truely suck ass, and its been exposed in a sad way.
Step backwards in quality with every retiring ref and new appointed over the last 30 years imo.

No offence mate but you're kneejerking just as far the other way. Ronaldo doesn't have bad games does he?

And you've got your excuse prepared in case Man U don't win.

I just tried to find Chelsea on my sat-nav

Apparently it's only 2 mins from Rome!:p

Poor quality ref, but with the clear chances Chelsea had they should have been out of sight.

At Platini and all the frogs at Uefa will be happier now.

May as well have Stuart Attewell as the ref in the final, the way most of the refs have been in the comp.

I feel sorry for the Chelsea fans - it must be awful to support a team that are what, 2 minutes away from the final, against 10 men and can't keep possession. I don't feel sorry for Hiddink or the Chelsea players at all, however.

Chelsea may have put in a performance full of blood and thunder, but the fact is that the side that retained possession and worked for openings went through with their only shot on target. Keeping the ball is another form of defence - they had to so they could protect their extermely fragile back line - and I don't see why people are calling this strategy ineffective.

Utd, a side that is 5 times the footballing team that Chelsea could ever be, will probably prevail against an extremely defensively weakened Barca side, but I have a feeling that the game will be a much better advert for English football than the semi finals were.

There were two wonder goals tonight: Essien's because of its freakish awesomeness and the knowledge that he'll probably never hit a volley like that again; and Iniesta's because he managed to hit the target, scare Ballack into cowering away, and beat Cech, all under extreme pressure.

Oh yeah he does and the same people that say he goes missing in big games pull off messi at every opportunity.

Too many people watching youtube clips and soccer AM highlights.

Visionary is just bitter with everyone lately don't worry :D

I think the pressures getting to him like it seems to with Geordies :D

Well, I am pretty annoyed about last night. 4 penalty claims, imo 2 of them were definite penalties (Pique handball and foul on Malouda IN the area).

I thought Malouda had a fantastic game, I also thought that despite our lack of possession we played very well.

I can only hope we win the FA Cup now to at least get something from this season. I do fear that the next few years will be a case of rebuilding our aging squad.

Also, Why did Iniesta not get booked for taking his shirt off when he scored?

So happy Barca went through although I feel so, so sorry for Chelsea fans. The ref last night ruined the CL for me. Awful.
