That's my bad!

Replaced with foot wide (almost) sex!

Suffice to say, wet round-a-bouts are no longer a concern of mine.

Woah, nice usage :D Getting new ones on mine today (S) which are down to the cords on the inside edge :o

If I had tyres come off my car like that I'd be too embarassed to be going around getting pictures of them to post on the internet.

Those sidewalls are a disgrace, far too much tread on them. B-, better luck next time :p :D

Yup, standard bogo Mich Pilot Sports (standand BMW guff).

Now replaced with Vred Ultrac Sessantas.

I know, I know, sidewalls were FAIL, but I that was the only thing assuring me I actually had some tread left!

Tyre monkey said I could have got £100 on ebay and sold them as ready to go track tyres. I informed him, only supercar entusiasts would require a tyre of such dimensions :p

He then pointed out my 530d badge, and I felt sad.

What clown put a D on your badge!! Oh... right... fail :p :D

I've always changed tyres when I feel they're becomign less effective. I don't drive like miss daisy so do experience good braking distances from speed to 0 (dual carraigeway with 3 roundabouts on daily drive). I'm just on the legal limit now and they're still just as effective although I probably am adjusting my driving to suit small changes maybe.

I wish I could drive more sensibly to avoid extreme tyre wear :(

If anyone is interested. Those pilot sports were the original tyres from the cars birth. Mileage now reads 23k. That probably means they covered 20k legally :p
