Im more than happy with my Be* connection, been with them for just over a year and have had no real issues to mention.

Sky branded DG834GT and flash it with DGTeam firmware - sorted

I have a sky branded black ADSL router, I can't remember off the top of my head what model it is, but when I did look into it, I failed miserably at reflashing it? The sky branding never disappeared for some reason :( At the moment I'm just using it as an ethernet to wireless bridge.

Am I missing something?

Anything but BT, honestly when I had a problem with them a few months back I wanted to call a lawyer and take them to court, they pretty much tried to bully me, my dad and my mum over the phone. Sent out an engineer 3 times then charged us £100! One of the guys even started to get lippy with me over the phone and I had to tell him to watch his mouth because he was being offensive....got an apology even. BT really are appauling in every sector, they have one of the worst speeds in the UK also, I am hoping the credit crunch hit BT hard because some of the people there need fired.

Unfortunately as BT own the physical infrastructure, it's difficult to get away from dealing with them.

I don't fancy trying out Virgin Media as they were crap when they were NTL around here and I doubt they have improved at all since.

It's also worth changing your DNS to use OpenDNS or some other free provider. Be have historically been useless at providing DNS resolution for some reason.

Am I missing something:

I get this in the bottom right hand corner:
