Windows 7 hits RC stage Build 7100

Not really... The only problem I'm suffering from with Windows 7 x64 is the lack of punkbuster support for gaming, apart from that it all runs great and is slightly quicker than vista x64
The punkbuster issue won't be a problem for me, the whole reason I'm downsizing is that my PS3 has completely taken over my gaming.
Quicker than Vista x64? Cool, going from XP to Vista was a nice little speed jump, glad to know that W7 builds on that.

It builds on the base of Vista, so drivers etc seem to be stable and fine... And you'll find things like the libraries much more useful than the way documents where stored in previous version of windows, certianly I do as it means I can link many different folders together from different drives and have them show in a single 'directory'.

Got 7100 installed the other day, few niggly problems that I didn't have with build 7000, like Windows recommended NIC drivers kept disconnecting me from the network..

Now I have high CPU usage from MSTSC.exe :( just downloading the Windows 7 Beta drivers from ATI, hope that helps....

installed mine today. only driver needed was wireless dongle. However media center crashed when connecting to xbox360.

i really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really REALLY hate the "network and sharing center" bring back the generic network layout for **** sake, it's the only part of vista/win7 that i truly hate with a passion
 Vista was a huge step up from XP imo. Everything was laid out perfectly and I knew how to get the network set up and running without any googling. They've changed everything again in Win 7 though and it is a little more confusing.

Network, Network Sharing Centre, Manage Network Connections

One of mine was also missing, but shows up in disk management. Had to give it a drive letter and then it was fine, although it made it an active/primary partition which then screwed up my imaging for my backup.

Well new Catalysts didn't work... really annoying as I usually have half a dozen RDP sessions going, and my computer is at a crawl with 2 :@

Not exactly, 7 does it right there in the taskbar rather than opening up a new window to remove them, reducing a couple of mouse clicks :)

I left click mine in xp, and a right click style menu listing usb devices pops up, i click it again and it's ejected.

You know, I never realised you could left click it in XP and do it like that, I've always right clicked it and had to go through the extra dialogue box.
