I'm all for freedom of speech, in fact i'm a big advocate of it. It's a necessity of a democratic society, and a damn good one at that.
However recently i'm becoming particulary annoyed at the Media. Some of the reporting is very irresponsible and makes a mockery of this freedom. Obviously every paper exists as a business and their primary goal is to profit, however when does this greed become irresponsible?
Society is rapidly becoming dependent on the Media to understand how the World is ticking. The Media rightly or wrongly loves portraying incidents in entirely different lights to their original intention.
I'm sure I don't need to provide any links as there is about 32 cases a day
With the 'dumbing' down of the general public and their inability to filter the truth from crap reporting, where do you feel the line should be drawn? Should the educated be demanding a better service to protect the uneducated?
