Isn't it scary how much on a night out?

A Bottle is, But going into a bar, getting a glass filled with ice and vodka and coke, by the time ive finished it the ice is melted, making the vodka weak.

But you're still drinking the same amount of vodka - eg 25/50ml...

You're so alpha.

Just leave your cards at home, simple as that really, or give your cards to a more responsible mate who will hold onto it incase of emergency.

Even when going out in London I only try to spend 60quid, admittedly I dont get that drunk but merry enough.

Still dont know how you manage it, unless you're buying more rounds than everyone else so end up paying for other people...

The most I've ever spent on one night was £150 but that was a curry, lots of drinks, a strip club with several dances and a lot more drinks.

Ive no idea how i done it either... I got less than 5 rounds for 3 people.

Next time im going to budget myself and see if i manage it.

You must be spending it on something else then, entry into clubs, food, taxis etc etc - 15 drinks shouldnt come to any more than 40 quid really

How so? You're still ingesting the same amount of Vodka, regardless of what it's mixed with.

Me and the GF went out last night for a mates birthday, spent £40 between us i think, that includes £10 for taxi and some grub, and buying my mate a few :/

I hate spending a lot on a night out, rather just go out, have a few, get merry and go home and not be ill / feel crap the next day :)

Its scarly how expensive it is getting tho... went out the other night in somewhere only a little more upmarket than usual and a double JD+coke came in at £5.95 - wasn't so long ago could get them for under £2 at the right time of night and under £3 normally.

I think the general concensus seems to be between £20 and £40 is enough for a night out, so to spent £100 you're either

- Drinking WAY too much
- Drinking in places that are VERY expensive
- Spending money on other things
- Buying drinks for other people more than you need to be
- Loosing it
- Coming home with about £50 in change but no notes so it feels like you spent more..

I spend about £15-£20 on a night out in Cambridge, normally about £30 in Leeds.

Depends where you are, where you go and what you do.

Seems the likely options.

Tips too... Im bad at that. Maybe i overpay the taxis :D

Rroff, i agree - I was in a Hotel not long ago, it was £7 for a double vodka and coke... i nearly died.

If this is some kind of bragging thread, you've failed.

Heck no. I always spend too much when im out and ive no idea how i do it other than buy drinks.

I've heard a few people say they can go out with £20... how the hell?

Maybe, unlike you, they're sensible with their spending. I usually take £50 with me to be on the safe side, but generally end up with around £20 left over.

Student nights, £1-1.50 a drink and they don't pretend they can drink 40 beers. Share a Taxi home and it's only a few quid each.
