4870X2 or 4890

I'd either get a 4870X2 if you need the power, or otherwise just plump for a 4870 1GB or GTX260-216.

yea why not two 4890s... 4890 1gb is only 180quid. i can think of one point that with dual crossfire max on 4890 is 2gb whereas 2x 4870x2 is 4gb

well a 4870 1gb wud only cost me £40 cheaper. i'm going crazy at the moment.. like literally. i'm thinking of changing my whole system to the new nehalem processor with GTX 295.

If you are changing your pc keep the 4890 and buy another one as crossfire 4890 is faster than a gtx295 and you would be saving yourself money in getting that faster system also.

really :o 2 4890s are faster than a gtx295..

what about 2 gtx295's.. lol naaa i aint that crazy.. but thanx for the suggestion

If one is looking to upgrade one's machine to the Core i7, like all others have said keep the current 4890 you have and buy another one...I have a 4870 X2 and its deffo by far the best ever GPU I have ever purchased (and my most expensive) :D

But seriously just get another 4890...
