No its not worth the money because a) it has no box, which can affect resale value if you decide to sell it and b) its quartz. So spend a little bit more and you can get a preowned automatic SMP with box and papers.

Crikey second hand prices are pretty good, is that a typical price for an Omega ?? I was debating selling my automatic Seamaster so I could upgrade.

You can get a watch for £2.99, or you can get a watch for £60,000. Like everything really, different watches fit into different budgets

This is a bit like saying that cars are so expensive, you can buy a car for £5,000 or £500,000. To suit every budget. The watch in the OP is only a month old, so it will likely be as new.
