Has this definitely been confirmed tho? Cos since 2001, they stopped making it for the PC and kept for the Playstation!! :mad:

But for me:

Assassin's Creed 2
Bioshock 2
the next chapter in Crysis (IF this ever gets done)
Splinter Cell: Konviction (like its been delayed yet again to 2010 I believe???)

Civilization 5.
A proper Sim City 5, and I don't mean the dumb crap societies made for 6 year olds. But a proper ''sim''.
Any other ''good'' ( such as caesar 3/ pharaoh) city building games.
Valve's next move: Ep3 + hopefully something else ( but I don't expect it).
New 2d Worms with ALL the features from the latest worms armageddon and world party versions.
Faster paced shooters, none of the console ''press x take cover behind a wall'' crap ( and then wait ages for the utterly slow animation to finish) but similar gameplay to quake 3 engined games like the original cod, mohaa, q3, etc...
A semi sim ish racing game like gran tursmo which is all about content, hundreds and hundreds of (mainstream) cars and a lot of tracks/maps.
New GOOD (not improperly implemented 3d like in many) RTS where you advance/reserach through the ages and build/expand. Something like original empire earth or Rise of Nations.

3d gaming nicely implemented, mainstream and affordable ???

Fixing existing games :
Add AA support/dx10 for GTA iv.
Fixing performance on various ports eg. Bully
Empire total war proper screen lock so that your mouse doesn't move off to your 2nd monitor, dual/more core usage and general fixes.

And simply the transition from primitive cd's and dvd's to online content for the mainstream and or lazy audience. Or at least make installation faster/easier and remove the DRM crap ( mainly the cd checks).

Add more goodies again to retail games ( posters, massive maps, good manuals/guides which are fun to read), make them actually worth your while, follow THQ's example with games like CoH and Supcom and dump the bloody cd/dvd checks after patch. Bit more enthusiasm & effort in games and not ''omg we have to release the game on dd-mm-yyyy and make lots of €€€$$$$''.


Oh and finally, BF3 would be nice :D.

Microprose published Grand Prix for the PC, not Codemasters ...

Sony held the console licence and was the reason no new version appeared on PC ..

Codemasters now hold the FIA agreement to licence the game and are developing a PC/Console game.. a statement from the developers informed us that the new F1 game will be both sim and arcade.

i doubt we will ever see a GP game with the depth and simulation of Geoff Crammonds GP2 on PC .. although i look forward to Codies effort

Ah, there's a caveat - "unless it's going to be truley spectacular" ... which I think Ep3 will be, but doubt CoD:HereWeGoAgain will be ;)

There are some good suggestions here, though. There's a 'PC Gaming is dead' thread every few months (which this thread isn't supposed to be, btw) but I don't think it is. This text file on my desktop has 13 games for me to look forward to over the next 12 months or so! :cool:

@snowdog You've got CitiesXL which looks to be a promising Sim-City-a-like. Only concern is they seem to be going down some kind of mmo "tycooneverything" route.

+ 1! I would love if they could come out with a proper SimCity 5! :D

In regards to city building games.. Just started playing Imperium Romanum and it seems like a good one.. similar to Caesar 3 I been told.. have also ordered the Grand Ages: Rome which is made of the same company.. I know these are already out but thought I would mention them just incase anyone that wants a good city builder game weren't aware of them! :)

I agree - there is a gaping hole in the genre that needs to be filled - I can't see frontier producing Elite 4 in the next 2 years so someone has some space to bring something really interesting to the table.

BF3?? Hold on, last I heard that was just a pipe dream? Isn't it just going to be BC2?

Arma2 all the way for me. It is a true PC game and there is no sign of any console compromises (unlike with OFP2). It will truly be a PC game in the old school sense. I'm talking vast online battles and epic clan support. Out next month too!
