As annoying as it seems sometimes, they've lost their daughter and no doubt feel a hell of a lot of guilt for the way it happened so of course they're going to do everything they can to get her back. They do have other children as well though iirc, so it's a difficult balancing act between trying to find Maddie and not neglecting the other kids.

I'm entirely convinced that one of them administered an overdose, accidentally or otherwise of the sedatives that their daughter was on and panicked and disposed of her.

I'm not normaly a gambling man but my money is on the parents did it. Gave the children some sedatives while they went to the bar to do some wife swaping and came back home to find Maddie OD and hid her body under that new road what was being built near by.

No offense but theres loads of people who go missing and don't get near enough media attention. Why should this be any different? It's been 2 years and other than a few dodgy leads, theres been no trace of her.

They should just let it die down, but keep looking privately or something.
