hi all hopefully someone can help me.

as some of you may have seen on my other posts i have spent quite a bit on air cooling with great results 3.8ghz q6600 idle 44C under 86% it was about 61C.... you dont want to know the voltage let just say my chip starts at 1.325 ouch....

HR-01PLUS CPU COOLER
loads of 19db red wing fans 120mm
HR -03GTX GPU COOLER (never installed)

any way its just too loud with all the fans and the graphics card 280gtx is a real pain in the ear.

so i want to water cool the system.... i want it silent but able to still run the q6600 at 3.8 stable.
although i rougly know how to put together a water system i dont know whats good an whats not so please spec me a system to cool cpu and graphics car.

hopefully fit in Cosmos S case. rad spot is in the top with three 120mm red wing fans already there.

a 360 RAD in your roof, i think a TFC would fit the spacing ok.
a CPU block of your choice the heatkiller V3 is coming out top in recent tests ive seen.
GPU either a XSPC or EK full block.
whether a 360 will be enough to cool a heavily O/C CPU and 280 i don't know as ive never had either, could always add an extra 120 RAD somewhere in the case.
it will never be silent as you will still be running fans on the RADs, the good thing about decent W/C kit is that you can keep the fans at a lower speed.

Quiet - don't know it's turned on (even when gaming)
or Quiet - can't here it when I'm not gameing and wear headphone so doesn't matter when I do...

Or silent and the quad is pointless in a gaming rig so I'll swap it some something begining with E8.

Answers.
1) Quality two block watercooling loop with at least a 120.3
2) Upgraded air cooling loop with fan controler and better fans (and using the HR03)
3) Passive water loop with some room needed for the external rad

I had a Pa120.3 with 3 Scythe S-Flex 1600rpm at 5v where totally silent. The rad was outside on my desk and honestly couldn't hear any noise at all from it. Pump wise i had a DDC 18w on a anti vibration mounting which was basically the only noise from my PC but was still near silent.

WCing was running a E8600 @ 4.4Ghz nice and cool.
