1000W PSUs: Zalman or Corsair?

Why 1000W? What are you getting? I know you say you've decided, but it really depends on what you plan on doing with it.

As for out of those two, I'd say Corsair. I'd put Be Quiet before them both though, just because I have one :D. They are good though, and you can get 1200W for £3 more than the Corsair.

i7 920, shooting for 3.6GHz. 1x SSD, 4x 1TB 7200.12, 1x 4870, plenty cooling, and a whole bunch hanging off the USB root.

PC power and cooling!

Cost = :eek: !!

Do you plan on adding another 4870 later? If you're only adding 1 more, 800-850W would do just fine. If you add 2 more, then the 1000W probably is justified.

And yeah, I stick by Be Quiet. I have mine (750W) also running an i7 920 at 4.2GHz, an SSD, an HDD, a 260 (with plans to add another), also plenty of cooling (Antec 1200), and a fair few USB periphs.
