Did you have high hopes for the GoW movie?

As if a Gears film would ever be any good anyway. The plot is dire in the games as it is. We're hardly talking the pinnacle of story-telling here.

Indeed, he has done a couple of half decent movies in his time.

Tbh, my only hope for a good computer game movie tie-in is god of war, simple yet elegant storyline, cool characters, cool fightscenes. All they have to do tbh is recreate the cutscenes from the game and add in some insane fight scenes and its done.

Lets face it the story was utter crap. Fun game but just a stupid story. Utterly ridiculous that this is going ahead and the vastly more fleshed out universe of Halo isn't

I found the story actually made sense on the PC version (which actually had the brumark level included), i'm not saying it made the storyline any good at all, but at least it made sense. I was baffled on the 360 version when you just appeared at a train that happened to be full of baddies that also happened to have a uber shockwave cannon of death on the front, at least the PC version had the chapter that explained why it was there.

Storyline wise, I can see it being something similar to Mutant Chronicles.

GOW story is really good and the movie isnt based on the games its prequel so we will get to see the past history of a lot of the characters

Every single one I can think of sucked horribly. It's even worse than book to film.

Well I think the first two Resident Evils were pretty good (in particular the second)

And Tomb Raider was...ok.

if you were going to use a wrestler....and it makes sense as those COGS are big guys....then to me the obvious wrestler is Batista for Fenix

Whilst Batista really does look the part he can't do wrestler acting for toffee, so I doubt he would be much of a film main character. He might be ok for a silent sidekick though, perhaps Dom.

I thought resident evil was a bit of a laugh but in no way a good film, tombraider the same, but just a fit bird, you'd be better off watching some decent pron tbh.

Ric Flair for the main role. Woooooo
