Just received my 2nd 4850 (a nice shiny Palit one) which is nice, but couple of queries/problems (well the main problem of a lack of crossfire connector will be solved tomorrow!)

Do I only need 1 crossfire connector to connect the 2 cards together, because I've seen setups with 2 and was wondering if it makes a difference...

Second question relates to the shiny card itself. The card is quite a bit shorter than my reference HIS 4850 with Vortexx neo. It has the flower cooler as shown on the product page, which isn't bad, infact its quite good (36 idle and 10 mins on Burnout got it to 50) but are the memory modules ok if not covered by a heatsink?? And would something like a vortexx fit on this special card?? Or what other coolers are using on this different card?

Can't wait til I get to crossfire it tomorrow!!!!

you should use 2 connectors for crossfire, apparantly it works with one, or even none (allowing software to manage it) but for best performance use 2
Re the cooler not sure sry
Edit: you could always buy some heatsinks for the RAM and/or VDDC chips if youre concerned, enzotech are good
