Car is dead, what should i get for the money?

The newage impreza is a pretty damm reliable car and i wouldent say parts and servicing wise it comes anywhere near an M3. I looked at M3s and would love one but know that if certain bits went on the M3 and i didnt have warranty i would be in HUGE trouble.

I dont think theres a lot in it, tyres discs pads etc all seem to be around the same money :)

Just roughly worked out the running costs of the audi, scooby sti and the st focus, and to be honest the running costs are not a huge difference. There is about £60pm difference between them all. I suppose the best way to narrow it down a bit is to do as stated above and try and get a test drive of each.

Well looks like my car is being scrapped as it was a timing fault and all the heads are bent. So i can now start looking for a new car:)
Could Anybody here who owns a scoob sti with ppp give me a rough idea on how much the pay per month running costs? just so i have an idea what to expect.

Running costs are going to be almost impossible to judge accurately beyond fuel, insurance and servicing. Reliability/tyres etc are a huge factor which cant really be predicted very easily.

Dont scoobies and evos eat clutches for breakfast?

I imagine the audi option would be much lower maintenance

I suppose it would depend on how it was driven, im not going to hammer it everywhere i go, I will be putting money aside for any unexpected problems anyway so its not to much of a dent on the wallet if something does go wrong

Think I have made my mind up now, and have got my eye on this : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1036141.htm

Similar price as to what an ST would cost me, and as has been said on here and a few other places the running costs are pretty similar. I have got a quote for it and the insurance want an extra £400 for the next 6 months on top of what ive payed already. So not to bad.
