Rooney should have got that one. Gives 100% every match.

Rooney had an outstanding run of a few weeks, the rest he's been good, but not exceptional. It was between Vidic and Gerrard imo

Vidic can't have it for his terrible performance against Liverpool. Schoolboy errors those.

Gerrard has been excellent for most of the season and deserved the award imo, although if Vidic had of won it he was equally if not more so deserving.

Vidic has been excellent all season bar 1 and a half games, Gerrard has gone missing in far more than that and as he's a midfielder if he's having a bad game its not as noticeable as if he was a central defender

More than half of his goals were scored in the first half of the season and he's been out injured for a lot of the second half, his overall form hasn't been anywhere near as good.

Would have to agree. Defiently not as clear cut as last season because no one's been as good as Ronaldo was last year.

The only reason Gerrard won it was the split vote between the united players. Vidic should have won it, likewise he should have got the PFA players award. He has been excellent this season.

The best part is that the media are the ones that got the Giggs bangwagon rolling and then turn around and give their own award to Gerrard.

Not really surprising. It should have been between Gerrard and Vidic but Vidic blew what could have been the key game of the PL.

Actually, maybe Torres making him look like a Sunday League player was the difference
