thai boxing

After playing with sagat on street figther iv i have the urge of learning thai boxing, i watched some videos on you tube and it looks rough compared to other martial arts. have any of u guys/gals done it and what is it like ? would you recommend it ?
 
What are you hoping to achieve?
It's a great fitness boost and your strength will improve, it's really demanding though.
 
I train Muay Thai and yes it's extremely demanding. It's definately an amazing cardio workout and is worth doing even if you don't want to end up fighting, would recommend it 10 times over!

Requires quite a good amount of balance on your toes, strong calves help a lot :).

overall i wanna inprove my fitness as its really poor, i recently started playing 7 a side football and within 5 -10 minutes i have to go in goals :o

is there diffrence between thai boxing and muay thai ?
 
Funny you mention Sagat, I remember playing SF2 on the SNES and thinking "damn this guy is cool!"
Im lucky enough to live in the country and train alongside some of the worlds best. As said by UHT, get yourself down to your local club and get involved, you hopefully wont regret it.
 
It's awesome I really do love it, your shins will be sore for a while specially when you take of the shin pads and check kicks bone to bone oowwww.
