Maybe it was a sympathy thing? I mean it's only fair Gerrard should win something this season? :p

He had 1 poor game but I've watched him so much this season and he is such an amazing defender, he wins everything, he's so much better than any other defender in the world atm. Pure class.
 
Very close between Vidic and Gerrard, if it wasn't for that Liverpool game Vidic probably would have scooped it!

If you think Vidic shouldn't have won it because of one game, what about the games where Gerrard has not scored/no assists or where Liverpool have lost when he's been playing ? I'm sure there is more than one occasion.

Vidic has been outstanding this season and should be rewarded, but I would much rather we win the PL and/or Champs League than an individual player win an award, so lets hope Stevie G keeps winning his individual honours and we keep winning our team honours ;)

even if Utd lose the EPL - the few games between the top four arent what clinch it (or not) , its the ones against mid to low table opponants where you lose the 2 or 3 points which make more difference

That doesn't seem to be the case this season, certainly as far as Chelsea are concerned.

You have Scolari to thank for your faltering challenge this season. If Hiddink had been there from the start, I think Chelsea might well have won it.

Put it this way, i'm thankful he's going! :p

I was messing around :p

And even in the games where Gerrard didn't score or get an assist, he didn't look like a Sunday League player :p

You mean when Gerrard was playing with 2 injuries? And Essien hardly took him to school, we couldn't string 3 passes together that day to even think about getting the ball to Gerrard (and on at least 2 occasions when we did, he left Essien for dead).

Being well marked is totally different to what happened to Vidic though :p
