I have to go against the grain here. Of all my local fast food joints KFC fries are easily the best, almost like proper chips, must be a regional thing. I shouldn't really be reading this thread at this precise moment though tbh, I had to skip lunch due to work, I'm supposed to be on a diet but all I can think about right now is stopping at KFC on the way home for 3 hot wings, 3 pieces and large fries. This is going to take serious willpower.
 
Only eat mc chicken burgers time to time, i really like them.

Once had a big mac, ate it as i was so hungry. Wasn't too bad actually.
 
The Big Mac is nice, but no way near as good as BK's Whopper.

But I love McD's fries and strawberry milkshake.

If BK could only sort their "too-strong" milkshakes and horrible fries out, there would be no competition!
 
Only thing I will eat from McD's is a Sausage and Egg muffin in the morning when I'm too hungover to consider making myself anything.

Had a Big Tasty a while back and was very disappointing, all I could taste was the sauce they put on and not much else. It also was 'warm' which is very unpleasant as I generally like burgers piping hot. Should have taken it back really but was in a rush.

There are a few places nearby where I work which do takeaway Thai for lunch, there is a quality little Thai lunch van in Fitzrovia, London, and £4 gets you a nice Thai Red or Green curry with either chicken, beef, or veg, plus some nice rice and some sweet sauce. Much nicer!

There is also a takeaway Thai and Greek place in the Arndale Market in Manchester which is pretty good. There is a great panini and baguette place too with loads of toppings to choose from at around £2.50 a go.

They're honestly not good sandwiches; poor quality bread, poor quality "cheese" (I'm actually hesitant to describe that processed crap as cheese), all the of the frankly cheap imitation “sauces” are laden with sugar ('cause that's how the Yanks like them) and bland, fairly poor quality (certainly no better than McDonalds) meats. You'd be better off buying a sandwich from a real deli, Waitrose or M&S... Even my sarnies are better! They have a taste for a start. Due to Subway's attempts to pimp their products on students (around the time they starting appearing in this country), I happened to consume many-a-free sub. One thing that always struck me is that they all taste EXACTLY the same, irrespective of what you order inside. A taste/smell that doesn't occur naturally anywhere on this earth other in the darkest depths of Subway’s fabrication facilities.

If you like them, mate, then fine. But to suggest that they're to be considered better or more sophisticated food from the likes of McDs, BK, ét all is completely disingenuous.

Yes, because nothing says fast food more than getting to a pub that actually serves decent food and then waiting 20-30 minutes for them to cook it.

The reason I go to fast food places is just that, it's fast. I can order, pay and be on the way out in less than 5 minutes.
 
I don't understand how you lot can love subway. The ingredients are of awful quality (from 3 friends who work there, and no longer eat from there), and it just isn't that nice. It's expensive, too. Local place does carvery meats in a baguette for £3.25, much more fililng, better for you, and so much nicer.

Take-A-Break, Nile St., Burslem. :)

They do the best Bacon & Egg butties, a large roll is £1.50 and it's cooked there and then on the premises then you can add extras, like Mushrooms, tomatos etc., for 20p a go. However, seen as you're in Nottingham you'll probably never get to taste the goodness.

regular sarnies only a quid, great shop. Although i think captain cooks does a better bacon and egg sandwitch.

There breakfast box is pretty good too (although Bobs on Newcastle St is better)
 
I like dipping McDonalds chips into one of their strawberry milkshakes. Don't hate me :p

Wouldn't eat anything else from there though. Burger King all the way.
