Spec me a ........... door handle

This is not just an ordinary door handle but an 'internal' one that locks a bolt that goes into the top & bottom of the frame.
The bar is the same size as a normal door handle bar.

I'm fed up of using pin nose pliers and I know somebody on here must know where these can be got from.
There is no name on the door, we've lost the invoice and my Googling skills have failed.

I think you need a key not a door handle. Something like a radiator key but bigger, measure the edge of the square, something like this might fit.

That looks more like a keyhole than a door handle to me.

Torque wrench, with a square bit would work. Dunnoes how you would make it into a handle, but at least the bit would make turning the thing easier.

Tap & Drill & screw a Normal one on, Kin stupid foreign muck by the look of it anyways, Bodge a Huge great Old English engineered one off jobby on it that will last a life time. :cool:

Don't forget to carve your initials in it as well & post pics on the Interwebz.

It looks like the square key that you get on plumbing/type panels/appliances. Can you measure it?

Can you not get a normal door handle with bar and pull the one in the door now out and replace it with the (longer?) one bought?

Looks like summit off British Rail, You know they have them Old Brass keys/Handles they carry.

Its a folding partition locking handle that you need similar to one shown in the bottom right picture of the following link

As to which one you will need you will need to contact the manufacturer. Only alternative would be to get something like the following:

From the picture it might be the wrong type (they might use a male where as you will need a female)

Either way hopefully they will be able to point you in the right direction - I take it there is no name / branding on any of the joints/ends?

There is a German name on the door handle lock and I contacted them last week but they only supplied their parts for the doors.
They couldn't even tell me who the doors were made by.
