Conservatives.

I feel sorry for them in some respects. They are going to have to make some very hard and most likely highly unpopular decisions to get us out of the crap Labour have put this country in. I give them 2 GE's before being ousted, however they will probably have gone a long way towards sorting this farce of a country out in that time.

I'd also like to see true Scottish independance ASAP. That should get rid of some Labour voters :)

This is exactly the same thing that happened last time. Thatcher's reforms were actually a case of fixing the mess Labour and their policies had left/been building up once and for all, and it worked very well, but wasn't popular among those who were gravy-training from the taxpayer in nationalised, unproductive and ineffective industries hiding behind trade unions.

The thing is, the cycle is consistent, there was a reason that Labour's third term was historic, they'd usually screwed up long before then. It's only because they'd inherited a healthy and growing economy from John Major's government, and stuck to their spending plans through most of the first term that they managed to get away with it this time.

I cant honest see why any sane person could ever vote in Labour for another term. The party that is supposed to be for the working man, that believes in social mobility and wealth distribution but had done neither and whats more have been found so far to be the worst in terms of having their noses in the trough. What a bunch of lying hypocrites and yet you still get some people stupid enough to vote for them. Truely unbelievable.

I think those who don't vote might just equal those who do.

Those who vote the Cons really are too young to vote and do not understand the damage they did last time round.

Not sure but I wont be voting Tory or Labour. Lived through 12 years of increasin conservative arrogance where the party fell more and more out of line and now suffer the same with Labour.

Both have had a fair run, it's time for a complete change. All that will happen is the tories will get in and spend the first 4 years complaining about having to fix everything labour left. Just like new labour when they came to power.

Which is exactly the same as when the tories where last in. The tories have been proved to still be in the trough like the rest of them. Won't stop them getting in though.

I voted tory since 1987 right up to the last election when I voted UKIP.

My policy now is to vote for the party that has least chance of getting into power, that way I can't blame myself for voting for whatever party gets into power & sends this country towards hell any further.

We are in a bad way at the moment but I would never, ever vote conservative. I remember the Thatcher years and could rant about it but I will spare you all.

While the Thatcher years left some appalling legacies, she did drag the country back on its feet to a certain extent after the previous Labour administration had the country on its knees and almost bankrupt.

When it comes to the economy, the Tories seem more on the ball than Labour but then again they are as bad as each other in many respects.

As for voting ..... I would not vote Labour in a million years. The old school socialism is not my bag and the ok yah version that replaced it appeals even less.

Stop wasting your time and don't bother voting?

I vote tactically in all elections. I live in a traditional Labour Town - the economy was based on Steel, Coal and Brewing. Like a lot of Welsh Towns however all of those major industries have closed down.

The Conservatives haven't got a cat in hells chance of winning here, so I tend to vote Liberal, not because I support all of their Policies, its because I don't want Labour to get in. Hopefully a load more people in my Town will vote the same way and kick NuLabour into touch. I strongly suspect that this will be mirrored up and down the Country.

You really need your head read, seriously. Do you honestly think the Labour governemt before them left this country in a nice rosey condition ?? Im not saying that all the things that the Tories did were wonderful but you need to take tough decsions to sort out the horrendous mess the previous Labour administration left behind, much like the next administration will have to do to sort out the mess we are currently in.

When the Tories were last in, most of the scandals that I mostly ever heard about were Tory MPs caught with their pants down with some woman other than their wives.

Conservative, I am not entirely convinced by Cameron but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt over the corren labour lot...
