hi there,

my partner would like to buy a sat nav her budget is around the £50 - £70 mark...

if possible should include the following:-

- uk, europe and world maps
- an easy to apply to windscreen feature
- free auto update
- traffic alerts
- advise on point of interest

Is it possible to acheive all of this on her budget I wonder??

please advise..

I assume this is second hand, because I'm doubting all of that spec is achievable sub-£100.

Just adding Europe on most sat navs models, hikes it by £50, nevermind the whole world, lol.
 
You won't get all that for that budget, otherwise there would be no need for the expensive models :p
 
cool second hand will do...

alternatively if you remove the european and rest of world maps what models could i purchase for that budget?

For £50 to £70, in a word, No.

Why on earth does she want worldwide maps, updates and traffic alerts and advice on points of interest?

For a Jet-setter, your partner sounds like an an incredibly optimistic cheapskate.

You could also try the "Value 3.5" Sat Nav V2". [Put that in google].
Which is the same as the Navigo SY885.
£47.

There are over 100 reviews for the product and they are generally positive, so you will get a good idea of just how good the product is before you buy.

I think really you are after the cheaper end of the spectrum when it comes to SatNavs and most members of this forum don't know about the cheaper stuff. But I assure you, they are out there...it just takes a little time and research.

SatNav for £47-£70 is definitely achievable.
