There very hot and noisy. No one can say there not cus they are.

Lol yea right. Compared to a nvidia card it is. Put your hand to the rear PCI plate and feel the heat its dumping out or touch the heat sink on the top of the card will burn your fingers. And same with the noise, the X2 with the diff coolers may be better but the reference coolers are pretty rubbish.
I have my fan set at 30% normal upping it to 40% when gaming and it keeps the card cool enough that i don't have any problems and also not that noisy that i overly notice it above other things in the room where the pc is. As for heat yes it does produce heat as do all cards and as you stated samsung most of it goes out the back of the case not into it as opposed to some cards. If anyone is really worried about noise\ heat then type "4870X2 review" into google and read some of the decent one's for a more balanced view then you will ever get on here because from my experience there is way too much bias on both sides to make a buying choice based on this forum.
