Hi,
thinking of replacing my Abit KN9 Ultra with 2.8GHz cpu with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 7850+ Black Edition and suitable motherboard.
Not really into AM3 yet so AM2+ will do for what I need.

Have always had motherboards without onboard graphics and to be honest, would not make use of that.

Do all the AM2+ boards have onboard graphics?.
If not, what boards come without it?.
Also the 790FX would not be any use to me as I just use a single graphics card.
Saying that, what is left?
780 or 790X?
Or only 780 or 790GX?
Last of all, what brand(make)is best?

You cant go wrong with Asus boards.
I have a m4a78-e which is a 790gx.It's am2+ and am3 ready.
I had a dfi matx 790gx and replaced it because it had a problem.
The two things i like about the asus is that you can disable the onboard gpu and it comes with a switch card. You use the card on one of the pci-e slots if you only run one graphics cards to make the slot full 16x speed. The dfi board's pci-e slots only ran at 8x
Hope this helps

WD 6400AAKS
WD 5000AAKS
WD 4000AAKS
CPU will be the Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 7850+ Black Edition
May overclock it.
Only budget really is for the motherboard, max cost of that to be around £140
