The old 04 320D Touring is coming up for an Inspection 2 and the cheapest quote i can get from BMW is £345 . This has come down form £550 I was quoted by by local dealer. It has 5 months left of a BWN used approved car warranty so should i take it to a non franchised dealer who uses approved parts for £290 .

Milage currently 78,000 .

Essex area your ideas appreciated thanks.

Go to the non-franchised dealer.

As long as they do use genuine parts, this won't have any issue with your BMW warranty no matter how much BMW would like you to think otherwise.

Herminator got a quote for £288 and Fox for £300ish, but Im not sure if the 6 cylinder service prices are the same?

I was told my quote was wrong this morning, the fool forgot to add the price of oil
£363 with oil, £281 if I supply my own  Just ordered the oil for £55.
I'm tempted to go elsewhere just because they got it wrong.
BMW Stratstone wanted £425 but will price match the £363.

Or dont, especially at £290!

My local main dealer is advertising a price of £260 including VAT, oil, etc for an Inspection 2 on an 04 320d.

Any idea what they're asking for a 04 Z4 3.0?

£305.

You can shave this down by supplying your own oil, also.

For you, its a trek ish but might be worth it, called Malton BMW in North Yorkshire.

It clearly states in my USED APPROVED warranty handbook that I can't take it to anyone unless they are approved by BMW , or am i reading it wrong .

Remeber this is a USed Aprroved Warranty and not a Origonal BMW .

You are right, he is wrong, Block Exemption applies to new cars.

My apologies, I missed the used bit, I assumed you'd owned it from new, hence my initial comment.

I'll crawl back under my rock.
