Warner R4 - My 2 year project finally OTR!

Very very nice, seriously good skills there. Definately one of those things you can look back on life with and say 'yer I'm proud of that'.

Only thing I can query is what the car is like on the limit with the MR layout with a short wheelbase, I'm imaging it would be difficult. But then again 160bhp with a wet weight of 350kg would be challenging whatever the layout I assume.

You're mad. I love it. I want one. :D

I like the videos of it on your website. Awesome work.

WOW!

I've always had a plan to build a Se7en when I can afford to. If that was available as a kit; that plan would change.

Is there anything else that light?

Thanks very much for the kind comments! I was expecting a marmite response - Only true petrol heads here it seems ;)

Phate - South Beds

Not too far from me....drop me a line, can arrange a photoshoot at some point if you like :)

Looks good that. :)

Few questions, why have you got drilled and grooved discs only on the rear? I know it is mid engine but you will still have majority of braking on the front wheels due to weight transfer.

The thermal mass a non grooved /drilled disk offers is a good thing then ;)

Love it. I think theres a lot of guys out there with plans for stuff like this. My mate at work is working on a car of his own hes doing in CAD. Great to see one of those projects realised in this threads.

Awesome. I'd definitely look into getting a kit setup for that, I'm sure you could make a fair bit of cash; not seen anything quite thta light available.

Very very nice

I trust this is a keeper then? Or the next question is where do you go from here? I mean even though its currently NA it is insanely quick.

Few bits and bobs, wasn't too bad at all, would need a few minor modifications to pass the IVA test which has just superseded SVA...

Looks lovely ..Think i remember seeing it before when you posted a while ago .

Is the engine standard as the older 1100 engine never made 160 bhp . And is 3sec to 60 a little optimistic given a modern Gsxr1000 bike with more power and less weight cant ? Not having a dig just asking as admire the build (Biker and ex Westfield owner) .

Amazing job there cloudy; you've made me get off my lazy ass and finally start on some CAD fun for an idea I had (I'm doing an automotive degree at uni; so was toying with the idea of making a kit car - or at least making a good design for one - would look nice as an extra on a extra on any job application down the line).

Do have a few questions though; got any pics of the uprights? What did you use to manufacture them (welded bits together, or found somewhere to CNC)?
And how did you make the wheel arch/cover things? (ie. if it is relatively easy to make those; how feasible is it to make body panels?)

The exhausts breathe far better than the original bike, and it's running dyna2000 ignition which provides an improved advance curve, the book value is 156hp, the mods will easily be making that 4hp and the engine is low mileage...

It's not quite making 3 seconds, I did say just over - that should come down with better tyres. You try going for a full bore start in 1st on the original bike - you'd be sat on the tarmac before you knew what happened ;) I'm able to make full use of the engine's power right from the get-go

Was thinking of the old 1100 engine . (125hp) just checked and yes the later W does 156 :P No disrespect on the build was just curious :)

If you wanna put it up beside a bike for some vids/pics drop me a mail in trust..:) could be fun
