Kojima Production "Next" - More info Fri 22nd May

wasn't their rumors that they're testing MGS4 on the 360?

I wouldn't be surprised, but iti's still a rumor.

Hideo and his crew have come out and admitted the Demo would run perfectly on 360, It's more a case of what form it will appear in, rather than whether it will.

I'm thinking 2 chapters per DVD, So 3 DVDs in all with Chapter 1 having it's own DVD. Compressed Audio. Graphics wise, I don't think they'll touch them. There will no doubt have to be some dialogue editing, due to PS3 specifics in game. Also the game has been developed for PS3, So it installs chapter content, So the game will have to have a redesign at a basic level to come to 360. All pretty possible if Konami are happy to do it

Oh come on 4 was ball's and thats me being nice, it was a very big mistep after 3

completely and utterly agree, i hate the MGS series but i could not miss 3 and once i picked it up i couldn't put it down till i finished.

4 was crap. it's just to childish and arcadey (ok, so they all have been, but 3 not so much).

Have fun with your cut down version of MGS4. :D

I hope they announce something at E3 about a new Metal Gear game and not MGS4 existence or something.

why would it have to be cut down? most of it is taken up with uncompressed music and textures, plus we can install FULL games to our hard drives ;)

Have you played it on Big Boss Extreme? Or from start to finish? If you considered it arcadey then try it on hard as the AI is ridiculous.

Spoiler.

The bit where you play one of the first levels of MGS1 and it pans out from Snakes original MGS1 face into his MGS4 face made me wet myself.

yup, i don't generally bother with games on anything other than hard/hardest setting.

i'm just not a fan of that type of game, expecially done with a japanese spin, the humour just isn't up to it, the communication is a bit stiff and the gameplay is a bit childish/cartoony.

cant fault it for it's graphics though!

no.3 is still the only one i'd play again (and indeed the only one i actually bothered to complete :o) (iirc and as far as i can tell they took a lot of the good stuff out of no.3 when they did no.4, 3 just seemed to be more polished and enjoyable overall.)

I thought everyone hated having to install to hdd with a console but now its the cool thing to do I guess.

No, what people hate is not being given a choice - like putting a game in on the PS3 and having to wait 20 minutes before you can even play.
