I always thought discrimination was discrimination, didn't realize it had different levels.

you don't see the difference between discriminating someone because of something they choose to do, and something they have no control over. ie their race?

yes, you chose your viewpoint and so must be willing to face the consequences of how it affects others views of you.

Understand that fine, but you are acting in the same way as the group you dislike (if that makes sense)

anyway back on topic...

As far as I know, the BNP haven't gone as far as saying "lol let's burn all the blacks/asians/etc!" yet. If they had, I'm sure they'd be a banned organisation.

Most of the leadership have, in the past, been convicted of racially motivated crimes and other violent crimes.

The fact that Griffin got them all to put on a suit and tie when he took over the party doesn't change what they are.

Then do you agree that Nazism, Nazi promotion, holocaust denial, preaching of violence against people of a certain race, should all be made legal, then? Should Abu Hamza be cleared of all charges? Should we, as a country, stop genocides by force? Should we have gone to war against Germany, or backed Hitler?

Lol how can you make a political ideology illegal?

Why would we have backed Hitler when he wanted to take over Europe.. and er invade us?

Tony Blair was a lying, two faced and wretched scumbag. Gordon Brown is even more two faced, even more arrogant and egotistic. He's also a bad politician, economist and cannot keep Westminster under control. At least Tony Blair could do that.

Still prefer him over that Cameron puppet though.

Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence as the well worn mantra goes, if you choose to distinguish based on something that someone has absolutely no control over or choice in then that is different to choosing to distinguish based on something that someone has a choice in.

You're right though, this isn't on the topic of who people are going to vote for in the next General Election.

Source ?

I much prefer Gordon Brown over David Cameron if that is what you are asking yes.

source for what, if you need sources for that no wonder you would still vote for him. Just look at the news and how GB is trying to buy are way out. Increasing national debt to the highest in 50 odd years.

Gobsmacked., you prefer someone who is wrecking this country.

Or the leanings of this forum ?

I'd say this forum is quite balanced, a lot of students and people who are typically left leaning as well as the tory lot :) Give it a while... I'd guess a lot of traditional Labour voters will now be either abstaining or making protest votes.

I believe he is doing what he thinks is the right way to get us out of this financial trouble and what is best for this country. I trust him over a bunch of millionaire upperclass tory twits who are completely unaware of how the majority of people are brought up and live in this country.

I don't think Labour have done a good job, but IMO it's better than the previous Tory government did.
