V12 vantage: first drive

That is so quiet in the cabin. The V12s in the Vanquish sound awesome outside the car, especially with the valves in the exhaust removed which are designed to make it quieter when not being thrashed so I assume the Vantage has a similar unit in there.

As I've mentioned too many times, my boss has a Vanquish S which sounds awesome on the outside but you can hardly hear much inside the car. Too well built (by a man with a brush and some glue looking at the build pictures they sent him)? The Vanquish is also huge compared to this Vantage. I wonder if the V12 up front affects the handling in a negative manner when you're on it,.

This is prolly the sort of thing that goes out of the window when you realise you're actually driving an Aston :D

Possibly, but you rarely put yourself in the position to afford one without being fairly demanding.

12 months ago my better halfs works car park was half full of Astons of one sort or another, but there are very few now, mainly due to general dissatisfaction with build quality and reliability.

Mind, the current car de jour is the Gran Tourismo, so they possibly haven't learned their lessons about reliability.
