My gaming Pc build!

Thanks for pointing that out! i have changed it now. One of my friends said to me this may be a better setup then what i originally posted :S

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366)
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3
G.Skill 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 NQ PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Triple Channel
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5
Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Samsung SH-S223F/BEBE 22x DVD±RW
Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir CPU Cooler
Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply
CIBOX C2202 22'' Widescreen TFT 1680x1050

Is that better then what i posted:confused:? Also he said it turns out cheaper then what i posted.

The i7 would certainly beat the 955, especially once it's overclocked. How much cheaper is it working out? I've noticed that you've dropped a few things from the previous spec, i.e. smaller case, no extra fans, fan controller and a smaller hard drive. So this would balance it out a bit more, the CPU doesn't cost too much more than the 955, same with the motherboard.

If you do go with the 300, I'd get a couple of extra fans, especially if you do want to overclock.

I'd be more tempted with the i7 setup.

I'm in shock. You're normally flying the flag for AMD! :p

What has caused this conversion?

yes i think i will, il add a few fans into the 300 case and anyways i plan to upgrade case in the future whilst also adding another HD4890. Also i can get the HDD in my first post for the same price as the i7 spec HDD. Just 2 questions? Does the i7 spec mobo support crossfire? and will the antec 300 be big enough to hold 1 HD4890 and my CPU cooler?

AMD CPU = FAIL

AMD GPU = WIN

Here's a though... bring your £115 E7400 over to my place, we'll swap my motherboard and CPU (£120) for yours, run some benchmarks and swap back.

Then we can find out whether AMD CPU = fail, or whether - as every other review shows, a 720BE for £4.50 more kicks the brown stuff out of the E7400.

Then you can realise that AMD CPUs have a real presence in the mid-range market, go home and stop your annoying fanboii-ing.

Goddamn 12 year olds.

Apologies to OP for stealing some thread space

haha not a problem :p Iv decided to go with the intel i7 setup listed :) thanks for the help everyone! il post some info / pics on how its going and what parts i recieve :p

For gaming, the Graphics card is more important than what CPU you have running with it.

Also I would go for a 24" tft, its going to last you a long long time so may as well get better than a 22" tft. :)

I don't think so . . . ! :p

Crysis Benchmark I ran using my rig, this is using a 24" TFT at 1920x1080 / AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition @ 3.6ghz stock volts. ;)

Using AA loses 2fps, I've redone the test @ 3.8ghz with AA on for 58fps. ;)

54.4 FPS
