Missing link found for "Theory" of evolution

Evolution is a fairy tale posing as fact. Time to give up the evolution nonsense and repent to the Lord before your time is up.

wow

Actually this might be the most irony laden quote ever
The lack of evidence speaks loud and clear - man evolving from lower species is base on zero evidence. people who want to believe in something base on zero evidence is foolish to say the least.

Isnt this from someones private collection?

Makes you wonder what else people have locked up in their sheds waiting to become breaking news

...alas, i dont even own a shed

I don't understand why people assume that if the theory of evolution is proven as fact that it automatically makes religion redundant, I believe in evolution, I always have, but I am also still open to the possibility that a 'God' like entity or some form of intelligence planted the seed that created the big bang which in turn lead to our evolution in the first place.

it disproves literal interpretations of religious texts.

You can dis prove religions but you can't disprove or prove a creator (one with no texts )

True, in the olden days only the rich young whipper snappers would go out exploring bringing back artefacts and things (or so you read anyway) - there's probably loads of things that have yet to see the public eye or be studied to answer many questions about our past!

How is it another nail in the religious coffin?

Science is just another form of religion.

Science isn't faith based whereas religion is though and science continues to develop and extract facts from new discoveries using new technologies whereas faith remains as is.

Yes, literal interpretations, thankfully I'm not a crazed Evangelist that takes religious texts at their every word, I suppose ultimately it comes down to how you interrupt your chosen religion, yes it can disprove certain religious texts in their literal form but I think it would be hard to disprove any religion that is based on the assumption that there is a 'divine' creator, a creator that you yourself say can neither be proved or disproved, all it will lead onto is arguing about the legitimacy of some of the religious texts and whether or not they were supposed to be taken in their literal form.

I find it so funny how religious people say, "but that isn't to be taken literally, this bit however is" .. how do they know which is literal and which is not?

Seeing as no one knows which parts are literal and which aren't (of course they will preach they do infact know but seeing how there aren't any 'holy texts' informing people of which are to be taken literally and which aren't it's just peoples views) I take the view that it's either right or wrong, in this case it proves that part of the bible is wrong.

Unveiled with media fanfare in May, the primitive primate Darwinius masillae has no connection with human evolution

It was billed as one of the most important fossil finds in history, a “missing link” that would challenge everything we knew about human evolution.

Darwinius masillae, the primitive primate that was unveiled to the world with huge fanfare and a Sir David Attenborough documentary in May, seems now to have been less of a missing link than an evolutionary dead end.

Far from being an ancestor to humans, the lemur-like creature from 47 million years ago belongs to an entirely different branch of the primate family tree that has left no known descendants, research has indicated.

Meh..

It's quite sad when you think about it. We had these amazing creatures wandering the world millions and millions of years ago, what do we have now, a dog?

hey lets be honest here, no other creature on earth shows the same degree of variation as a dog.

It's a pretty remarkable creature that it has so many wildly different phenotypes.

We've been breading cattle for centuries and all we've succeeded in do is making them have emo fringes and red hair!:(
