New Sky HD EPG

I think i must have been one of the early ones to get it:
My sky box was on its arse a while ago so did a firmware/software update from the internets (using the phone line) and it upgraded so give that a try if you want it.

Has anyone else noticed that when the HDD is (nearly) full things seem to get automatically deleted?? its such a pain!

The majority of boxes that got it were the 3003's, but its strange that only a handful of 3002, 3004, 3006 etc got it too. Seems like a bug on Skys end that some people with different versions got it too.

That's because you have the disk management set to "Automatic".

It will delete the oldest viewed recordings first, then move on to the unwatched recordings.. unless you tell it to "keep" them or unless you turn the disk management setting to "Manual" or "Warning". RTFM? ;)

...not that I get the problem using 1TB..

The update stream doesn't always get every box.. but it's only a matter of time before the new EPG is put on the forced-update stream, so it's a case of waiting. Doesn't it have to be on for a full 24hrs before the update, too?

Early reports from me are positive.. I'll check it out thoroughly using dual recording tonight, though :)

My Pace 9F3002 done today. Initially thought they may have nobbled access to the hidden installation menu, but its still there. In case you're wondering, go to settings on the top bar, down one, 0, 1, select. Number shortcuts still work too, e.g. press 6 and it goes straight to sports.

got mine yesterday, pace box
working no real hickups

Two things to note though:

1. Signal strength went from 90% on old EPG to 60% on new EPG (not that its affected anything)
2. Need to turn the volume up louder now by a few notches on the AV amp

Same for me. Signal strength went down and i need to turn up the TV volume more so than before. The Last viewed and favorites mapped to the blue button is also getting a bit annoying for me.

Any idea when this will be rolled out to Amstrad box's?

Samsung before Amstrad, got email from sky the other day about new card being sent out in the next few days to week.. or so. Not too sure if this is addition to the new EPG or not as I have a sammy hd box (had 2 borked thompsons over the past year and half - same sky engineer came out each time and decided to give me a brand new sammy on 3rd time out)
