Has anybody else used a Swiftech GTZ Hold Down Plate Kit for Intel i7 Processors

I have bought the Swiftech GTZ block for my I7 new build

so i had to buy the hold down plate (Swiftech GTZ Hold Down Plate Kit for Intel i7 Processors) the first one i bought had no thread on 1 hole, so i took it back and got a replacement, and we checked the replacement 3 holes were nice and tight but the 4th was loose when the pin was screwed in but not under presure...

i got back home built it up applied presure and it just ripped the thread out, has anybody else used this back plate?

im sure loads of people have i very nearly did before i stuck with 775

I have spent over a grand on a new system and i cant use it (boohoo) this has been going on for 4 days now, i am ripping my hair out

Im glad i stuck with AMD they're updated sockets since AM2 have at least all used the same retention method

why on earth did you accept another defective plate with a loose thread?.

take it back & insist on one thats fit for use, and if they kick up a stink about it bloody well put your foot down. swifties QA has been a bit iffy in the past, i thought they'd sorted all that out by now.

exchanged it now, the backplates are usless
