I need to work out what timezone we're in so I can build a chart for the sunrise and sunset times for a year. Now i'm using a US naval site but it's asking what timezone i'm in. I thought the UK was 0 GMT but when I put the o in on the timezone it claims that todays sunrise was at 3.56am and sunset will be at 20.06. Also the site gives a map of the timezones here and it claims our time zone is -1.

The site i'm using to calculate this is http://www.usno.navy.mil/USNO/astronomical-applications/data-services/rs-one-year-world

Can anyone confirm I have the timezone right?

We're on British Summer Time at the moment, which is an hour out from GMT. (Or if you want to be a pedant, we're on British Double Summer Time, and during the winter we're on British Summer Time, we never use the original GMT in Britain anymore, but that's a long story)

Anyway, if you just type a city name followed by TIME in Google it'll tell you straight up.

Are you sure about that?

I know ROSPA were trying to get us to adopt it but I don't think we ever did. We also ran on it temperoraly through WWII

The map says we are in A and states the A is -1?
