Aye, not just TF2 either L4D has been updated regularly. Also their games usually have only minor bugs and are all usually well received by critics and the public. Producing games isn't exactly a mundane business and if their fans want to thank them i dont see a problem with it. I wouldn't do it myself, but i think valve if anyone deserve it.

Edit: I am a big fan of their games btw.

Well if I was a developer I'd prefer this to seeing 2 years of hard work pirated weeks before it was even released.

EA suck. Valve are definately one of the better developers out there. I wouldn't bother saying Thank you in a thread, but it doesn't mean those that do are sad...

Yep thanks Valve for releasing an unfinished PC game called Dark Sector with broken widescreen FOV so you can either go 4:3 AR or wait for a patch which is unlikely to ever come out. And thanks Valve for Silent Hill Homecoming which still has broken sound which stutters badly. Obviously they never heard of QA!!!!!

Some guys complained about this in a reasonable manner and had their VAC accounts deleted!!!!

huh dark sector was made by Digital Extremes and Silent Hill Homecoming by Konami Digital Entertainment and Double Helix Games.

neither of them are anything to do with valve. they are sold on steam but do you expect HMV to be making patches for the games they sell?
