Morning all. Over the last few months I have witnessed a phenomenon as my collection of 5 official battery packs dwindled to one, sometimes two.

They either:
Don't charge
Report as being charged but wont even turn on a controller

Anyone else getting this? All charging done in the official quick charge dock thing. I suppose they are getting on for 3 and half years old, but at a tenner each for batteries I'm reluctant to replace them straight away.

I've tried the usual cleaning of contacts etc. but no such luck. Have tried them in a play'n'charge kit aswell but no difference.

As far as I'm aware batteries have a "recharge" life and after a certain amount of recharges it will just goto pot. So 3 years seems like it would be the case.

They're deffo gone. I replaced all 3 of mine last year. Think they lasted about two years tops.

Yeah two of my original packs are dead now. One will charge for a while then you plug it in the controller connects and turns off almost instantly. I just bought some of the cheaper blue ones.

Yeah, I've just replaced one on mine and I've had it about 2 years so it seems about right. 3 years is good actually.

They're £9.99. Put your hand in your pocket you tight git! ;)
